This silent newsreel footage shows the naval actions in World War I (WWI), including the German High Fleet engaging the British Royal Navy at Jutland. Contains actual combat footage of German warships firing upon and sinking a British battlecruiser which then capsizes. Footage also includes Zebrugge, Scapa Flow and Firth of Forth (6:29). The film also shows German seaplanes (:34) on scout patrol. At 2:03 a carrier pigeon is being used to report intelligence. At 3:14 a British windjammer or clipper ship is spotted by the Germans and seized.
