  1. My dad was first marine division fox company second battalion denang 1967-68. Sustained multiple m16 shots to the legs ,and died on us soil his injuries . I’m trying to find anyone who was in the old breed in Denang during that time whom can tell me what battle he was in . I just got him on the vvmf honor wall, but I wish I could know exactly the circumstances of his injury . I have his telegram from injury dd 214… just wish I could understand what “ he carried “ for years . Semper Fi and welcome home. I’m a PROUD daughter of a retired Marine and so glad he imparted corps values into our lives . Miss that man every day . He was truly super human

Corpsmen also carried .45's, not just officers.

Đem súng đạn tới gây tội ác ở một nơi không hề có thù hằn gì. Trong số những người này chắc chắn sẽ có những người không bao giờ được trở về quê hương.

  6. James Welch says:

Why are the officers carrying 45 pistols?Give me an M14. The enemy must know that the one without a rifle is a big target for snipers.

  7. Champa Ray says:

Does anyone know what operation(s) this involved?

  8. Captain 1985 says:

Large pucker factor going across open terrain.

  9. Captain 1985 says:

Real combat patrol. Notice that the patrol members are 5-10 feet apart to prevent multiple casualties from a booby trap, IED in modern parlance. Glad to see the air cover. Must've been a strong enemy area since there is a Cessna Bird Dog spotter, a sky raider and F-4 jets.

  10. Lot' of planes in action in this footage.

  11. gvannaman says:

Uncle is a marine and did two tours. Said he qualified expert with the m14. Gets to nam and they hand him an m-16. Wtf

  12. suiterd62 says:

None of complained about the weight of the M-14. Dependable, versatile, accurate and did not jam. DRS / RVN Vet.

  13. Joel Kemps says:

M 14s   Should have kept them.  I was with 2/1 just south of DaNang for 6 months. Joel Kemps s-2 scouts
