This DVD contains the best World War II film footage ever taken of the SBD Dauntless and F4U Corsair. It includes: day-to-day activities of a Marine Corsair fighter squadron VMF-213 “Hellhawks” in 1943 at Henderson Field In Guadalcanal. Includes excellent scenes of pilots and crewmen preparing their F4Us, as well as general scenes around the camp (ie, mess, idle chatter, cards, etc.); the R5C Commando and the L-5 Sentinel operating at Iwo Jima. Other parts of the video feature air operations on Kwajalein and Bougainville.

The last segment is titled “Pacific Milk Run.” The focus is on the important job Marine Corps SBD pilots played in keeping the Japanese pinned-downed on Pacific islands that were by-passed by the allies.
