Light-hearted short colorized film from the Battle of Iwo Jima. Featured are a couple of P-51’s landing and taking off, a B-29 Landing, and some rare footage of some Japanese prisoners being taken by compassionate appearing Marines. The Marines used smoke machines to flush the Japanese soldiers from the caves. Though debated, some estimates suggest around 25,000 airmen were saved by having the option to land on Iwo Jima while returning from bombing missions in damaged aircraft
